The Koenigsegg CC850, showcased recently at Pebble Beach, has captured the interest of wealthy individuals worldwide.
Initially planning to produce 50 units of the CC850, Koenigsegg has decided to fulfill the increasing demand by increasing the production number to 70 cars.
In honor of the 20th anniversary of their first hypercar, the CC8S, and founder Christian von Koenigsegg’s 50th birthday, the decision was made to produce 50 cars.
Although the CC850 is based on the Jesko, its design draws heavy inspiration from the CC8S and boasts a unique interior with a retro 3-pod instrument cluster and a central touchscreen.
Powered by a 5.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, the CC850 delivers 1185 hp on pump gas and 1385 hp on E85, with peak torque of 1020 lb-ft at 4800 rpm, resulting in a remarkable power-to-weight ratio of 1:1.
Featuring a distinctive “manualized Lightspeed transmission,” the CC850 offers an automatic transmission that can be manually operated like a traditional manual gearbox.
