Last June, Koenigsegg regained the 0-400-0 km/h world record with their Regera, surpassing the Rimac Nevera.
The Regera achieved a new record by completing the challenge in 28.81 seconds, a remarkable accomplishment for a hypercar that is a decade old. However, on June 27th, Koenigsegg surpassed their own record using the Jesko Absolut.
The Jesko Absolut, equipped with a twin-turbo V8 engine producing 1,600 horsepower on E85 fuel, features a specialized gearbox with seven clutches for seamless and rapid gear shifts. With reduced drag resulting from the absence of a large wing, the Jesko Absolut excels in straight-line speed and boasts impressive acceleration.
Driven by Markus Lundh, the Jesko Absolut completed the 0-400-0 km/h sprint in under 30 seconds, achieving an official time of 27.83 seconds across a distance of 2144 meters. Notably, this feat was accomplished without the assistance of electric motors or spoilers for braking. Curious to see the record-breaking run? Watch the YouTube video provided below!
