Kia has revealed that the production model of the three-row EV9 electric SUV will initially debut in Europe in 2023 and is now slated to hit the US market in the later half of the same year.
The EV9 concept was first introduced at the Los Angeles Auto Show last year, offering a glimpse of what the production version will entail. Built on the E-GMP platform, shared with models like the Hyundai Ioniq 5, Kia EV6, and Genesis GV60, the EV9 will incorporate an 800-volt system enabling DC fast charging up to 350 kW.
Kia has mentioned that the EV9 concept can be rapidly charged from 10% to 80% in roughly 20-30 minutes, delivering a driving range of up to 300 miles. It is anticipated that the final product will maintain many of the design elements showcased in the concept model.
