Now, there are rumors that Ford is considering a similar idea based on the Mustang. Reports indicate that a Ford Mustang Raptor might be in the works.
It is rumored that the Mustang Raptor could share its foundation with the upcoming S650 Mustang. The vehicle would be equipped with a 5.0-liter V8 engine producing 500 horsepower, which would be distributed to all four wheels through a 10-speed automatic transmission and an electronically controlled central differential.
But wait, there’s more. According to media reports, there might also be a more potent variant known as the Mustang Raptor R, featuring a 5.2-liter supercharged V8 engine generating 700 horsepower.
If Ford decides to move forward with creating an all-wheel-drive version of the Mustang, it could potentially be available in showrooms around 2026.
The market seems to be interested in elevated sports cars, as evident by Porsche and Lamborghini’s offerings. Would you be interested in purchasing a Mustang that’s designed for off-road adventures? Share your thoughts in the comments.
