Here’s The BWM X7 Pickup Prototype And It Actually Looks Amazing

BMW teased petrol heads with something that would be too mouthwatering to keep us tight-lipped. We simply can’t keep cool without talking about this one, whether it goes into production or not.

It is a BMW Pick-up truck based on the full-size, SUV huge and heavily endowed BMW X7. It is so much of an X7 that it has borrowed heavily and unregrettably, safe for the exterior styling that makes it a Pickup truck.

The BMW Pick-up truck carries the same powertrain from its donor, an impressive 6-cylinder 3.0-L turbocharged engine. This one churns out 340 hp and 332 lb-ft of torque. All the luxuries from the donor machine are transferred here, only changing the last row-seat so that we now have a pickup up back, complete with wooden flooring.

The bed measures are 4.6 ft and 6.5 ft. This adds an extra 4-inches to the original length of the BMW X7. It is also complimented with lots of carbon fiber on the roof, the rear doors as well as the tailgate, ostensibly to reduce the weight, which actually comes down by a whole 441 lbs. In addition, the newly built two-level height-adjustable suspension ensures the ease to load and unload off the BMW X7 Pick-up truck.

Automakers have prototype projects as their testing grounds and even launchpads for future endeavors. For BMW, this vehicle provides an opportunity to explore several possibilities, even though this car is just a one-off prototype.

It is perfectly road legal and was crafted with BMW’s Concept Vehicle Construction and Model Technology divisions. Could this be a groundbreaking hint on what is in the auto maker’s mind for the future?
