Ford has introduced a new track-only supercar known as the Ford GT Mk IV, marking the final version of this legendary vehicle.
The 2023 Ford GT Mk IV track car will be manufactured by Multimatic, with only 67 units planned for production in tribute to the original 1967 GT Mk IV race car.
Pricing for this specialized supercar starts at $1.7 million. Prospective buyers will need to complete an application, with Ford making allocation decisions in the first quarter of 2023.
In terms of performance, the 2023 Ford GT Mk IV is equipped with a twin-turbo EcoBoost engine producing an estimated 800 hp, paired with a racing transmission. The car features a carbon fiber exterior and Multimatic’s Adaptive Spool Valve (ASV) suspension.
Compared to the standard road car, the Ford GT Mk IV has a lengthier wheelbase and an aerodynamically enhanced exterior design that truly stands out. Sporting large side intakes, a prominent rear spoiler, and Ford’s distinctive new C-shaped LED lights, the car also boasts a unique ‘Hot Wheels’ appearance with aero wheel covers.
