While Lamborghini is focusing on the successor to the Aventador, in Maranello, Ferrari is preparing to unveil a new convertible model called the Roma Spider.
Rumors suggest that the Ferrari Roma Spider will make its debut sometime this year, with speculation pointing towards a possible unveiling in March 2023. A post on Ferrari Chat forum not only hints at the unveiling date but also mentions that the launch event might be set in a sunny location.
According to an insider post on the forum, Morocco is likely to be the chosen venue for the launch and media test drives of the convertible Roma.
“For several months now I have mentioned that a dozen times already, seems fchatters are not reading posts……Morocco March 2023.”
The Ferrari Roma Spider is anticipated to house the same powerful twin-turbo V8 engine as its coupe variant. This engine, a 3.9-liter motor, churns out an impressive 611 horsepower and 560 lb-ft of torque and is paired with an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
Given the convertible nature of the Spider, it might be slightly heavier than the coupe, impacting its performance metrics. Ferrari boasts that the coupe version can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 3.4 seconds and reach a top speed of 198 mph.
