Ferrari has unveiled the 296 GTS, the highly anticipated Spider model of the 296 GTB featuring an innovative hybrid engine.
The Ferrari 296 GTS is equipped with a retractable hardtop showcasing a roof mechanism reminiscent of the F8 Spider. The newly designed tonneau cover incorporates an aerodynamic bridge with two flying buttresses on each side. The remaining features of the car mirror those of the coupe, including the unchanged interior.
Beneath the rear decklid sits Ferrari’s new 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 engine producing 663 hp and 546 lb-ft of torque. This internal combustion engine works alongside an electric motor elevating the total output to 830 hp. The 296 GTS is furnished with an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and can accelerate from 0-62 mph in 2.9 seconds, matching the coupe, with a top speed of 205 mph.
An optional Assetto Fiorano pack is offered for the 296 GTS, specifically crafted to enhance track performance. This pack includes adjustable Multimatic shocks, a carbon aero kit to increase downforce, and an overall weight reduction of 8 kg.
