Ferrari introduces the groundbreaking 296 GTB, its first-ever rear-wheel drive hybrid sports car. This innovative vehicle features a revolutionary 120-degree V6 engine combined with an electric motor that results in a total output of 818 horsepower at 8,000 rpm and 546 lb-ft of torque at 6,250 rpm.
The unique design of the V6 engine at a 120-degree angle not only enhances the car’s handling with a lower center of gravity but also produces a captivating sound similar to a V12 engine. This hybrid system of the V6 engine and electric motor eliminates turbo lag, providing a seamless and responsive power delivery that enhances the overall driving experience.
The Ferrari 296 GTB recently grabbed attention on the Autobahn in a video featured on the popular YouTube channel, AutoTopNL. After maneuvering through traffic, the driver pushed the vehicle to its limits, achieving an impressive top speed of 352 kilometers per hour, equivalent to over 218 mph.
