The Koenigsegg CCR served as the precursor to the CCX, with only 14 units ever produced, 8 of which were finished in the striking Lava Orange color. Recently, the prototype Jesko also showcased this particular shade of orange to honor its historical significance.
Under the hood, the CCR boasts a 4.7-liter V8 engine derived from Ford’s modular V8 platform. Equipped with twin superchargers, this powerplant generates an impressive 806 hp @ 6900 rpm and 679 lb-ft of torque @ 5700 rpm, channeled to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual gearbox.
With a remarkable acceleration of 0-62 mph in just 3.2 seconds, the CCR achieved a top speed of 241 mph during testing at the Nardo high-speed test track in Italy.
