An uncommon incident occurred in the Czech Republic where a Ferrari 458 Speciale Aperta was involved in an accident. Photos of the damaged high-performance car were posted by @supercar.fails, though the exact date of the crash remains unknown.
Based on the images, it seems like the driver may have lost control and collided with a pole at the side of the road. The visible damage appears to be mainly cosmetic. Aside from minor scratches on the driver’s side, the front fender and bumper will require replacement. Additionally, there are some chips on the 5-spoke rims.
The impact was forceful enough to trigger both airbags, which will need to be replaced. Since only 499 units of this Speciale Aperta were made, the repair costs for the vehicle are expected to be high.
The 458 Speciale Aperta is a highly coveted model. A well-maintained model with low mileage can command a price of around $1 million today. Under its hood lies a 4.5-liter V8 engine producing 597 horsepower and 398 lb-ft of torque. It is notably the last Ferrari featuring a naturally-aspirated V8, adding to its allure.
