Chevrolet C8 Corvette Z06 Sets An Impressive Record Lap Time

The Chevrolet C8 Corvette Z06 achieved an impressive lap time of 2 minutes and 19.18 seconds around the Circuit of the Americas (COTA) in Austin, TX. The car was driven by Hennessey Venom F5 test driver David Donohue.

The Z06 used for the run was John Hennessey’s personal car, equipped with the Z07 package featuring a carbon aero package and lightweight carbon fibre wheels, along with other track-focused upgrades.

The Z06 is powered by a mid-mounted 5.5-liter V8 engine with a flat-plane crank, delivering 670 hp at 8400 rpm and 460 lb-ft of torque at 6300 rpm. It is equipped with an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and electronic limited-slip differential, delivering power to the rear axle.
