The 2014 Pagani Huayra Tempesta is a car that comes with the Tempesta package, priced at around $180,000. This package enhances the existing Pagani Huayra by making aerodynamic and weight-saving upgrades to improve its performance. Some of the upgrades included in the package are a redesigned underbody, front splitter, and rear diffuser, which increase the downforce of the car.
To handle the added downforce, the Tempesta package also features four-way adjustable Ohlins shock absorbers. The package also includes lightweight aeronautic-grade aluminum alloy wheels, which are 20 inches in the front and 21 inches in the rear. These wheels reduce weight by 1.1 kilograms in the front and 2.5 kilograms in the rear without compromising strength. Additionally, the package incorporates a titanium exhaust system weighing just seven kilograms, which is three kilograms lighter than the standard exhaust.
All these enhancements complement the remarkable performance of the Huayra. The car comes with a 6.0-liter twin-turbocharged V-12 engine from Mercedes-AMG, capable of delivering 720 brake horsepower and an impressive 1,000 Newton-meters of torque. The Huayra also features active aerodynamics, with four independently adjustable flaps at each corner of the car. These flaps adapt to the car’s speed, lateral acceleration, steering angle, and throttle position to optimize performance. They can offer reduced drag, increased downforce, or enhanced stability as needed.
Overall, the 2014 Pagani Huayra Tempesta is a powerful and aerodynamically advanced car with impressive performance capabilities.
