Cadillac XT4 Review: Shiny, Attractive & Actually A King Of Sedans

To jog your memory a little, this was once the king of sedans. But the XT4 couldn’t have come at a better time and fills the gap. It actually has something else Cadillac can use a youthful appeal.

This car still maintains Cadillac’s usual thick, shiny grille that gives it a tidier front face. The XT4 has a good level of new technology.

Sitting on a new architecture for compact SUVs, the XT4 receives a 2.0-liter four-cylinder for 237 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque.

The XT4, it is able to hit 60 mph in 7.5 seconds. This makes it considerably slower than its competitors. Lets look at a few : Volvo XC40 (6.7 seconds), Mercedes-Benz GLA (6.9 seconds), Infiniti QX50 (6.4 seconds). All this comes through Cadillac’s new nine-speed automatic transmission.

The XT4 comes with a good number of standard equipment such as proximity key entry and remote start. As part of the 8-inch touch screen, Cadillac’s User Experience infotainment system gives you HD Radio, satellite radio, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, four USB ports, and a built-in Wi-Fi hot spot.

In addition to the touch screen, you can control many of the car’s features with a knob on the center console. The touch screen responds rather quick to commands which is a rather good thing in modern times.
