The unique Bugatti Chiron Profilée was revealed towards the end of last year with the announcement that it would be auctioned off at RM Sotheby’s Paris auction. The one-off hypercar has now been successfully sold for $9.5 million.
Initially intended to fit between the Chiron Sport and Pur Sport models, the Chiron Profilée came to fruition after all 500 Chiron slots were already sold out. Unable to extend the production run, Bugatti opted to offer the singular prototype Chiron Profilée as a custom-made creation.
The Chiron Profilée boasts a distinct exterior design with a striking dual-tone color scheme and a lengthened tail section featuring an integrated ducktail spoiler as its standout feature. Bugatti claims that the redesigned rear section enhances downforce and impacts the aerodynamic airflow over the rear axle. The hypercar also showcases unique wheels.
While maintaining the same 8.0-liter W16 engine, the Chiron Profilée is the final Bugatti model to be equipped with this massive powerplant, now capable of revving up to 6900 rpm. Paired with a tailor-made transmission featuring adjusted gear ratios, the hypercar can accelerate from 0-60 mph in just 2.3 seconds. Additionally, the increased revs enable the vehicle to reach a top speed of 236 mph.
