Andy Wallace, Bugatti’s lead test driver, usually puts the Bugatti Bolide through its paces during high-speed testing on the track. However, a recent development allowed Jack Rix, the Editor-in-chief of Top Gear Magazine, to experience the hypercar firsthand on the track at Nardo.
The Bugatti Bolide, a limited-edition track-focused hypercar, has a production run of only 40 units, all of which were quickly snapped up at $5,000,000 each. Equipped with the same powerful W16 quad-turbo 8-liter engine found in the Chiron Super Sport, the Bolide delivers an astonishing 1,600 PS power output. With a target weight of merely 1,450 kg, this powerhouse accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.2 seconds. Even more impressive is its theoretical top speed of over 501 km/h (311 mph), with the ability to reach this velocity in just 20.1 seconds!
Take a closer look at this phenomenal hypercar in the Top Gear video below, which showcases the pure power of the massive W16 engine without any hybrid or electric assistance:
