Audi has stepped up its game in the realm of electrification with the new Audi A6 Hybrid boasting 360 horsepower. This move follows Audi’s successes with models like the e-Tron crossover, the A8, and the Q5.
The A6 “55 TFSI e Quattro,” leveraging technology from the Q5 plug-in hybrid, houses a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4 gasoline engine capable of generating 250 horsepower. It is complemented by a 105-kw electric motor and a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.
The combination of these power sources gives the Audi A6 a robust output of 362 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque, distributed to all four wheels, a signature Audi feature.
Equipped with a 14.1-kWh battery pack on the rear axle, the Audi A6 Hybrid offers an estimated range of approximately 30 miles on a full charge, showcasing Audi’s commitment to thoughtful engineering.
The vehicle offers three driving modes – Hybrid, EV, and Hold. Hybrid mode is for regular driving, Hold mode preserves battery charge, and EV mode allows for full electric driving.
Audi’s diverse approach aims to cater to various consumer preferences, ensuring a versatile driving experience for all. This strategic approach is poised to yield long-term success for the brand.
