The Aston Martin V12 Vantage has always been a special car. The latest version that came out in March was limited to just 333 units, and it sold out before it was even unveiled.
But for those who missed the chance to own one, there’s good news – Aston Martin is working on a V12 Vantage Roadster, and it might make its debut this summer.
The Roadster will be even more exclusive with only 199 units planned for production. Priority will be given to customers who already have a coupe on order, and prices are anticipated to start at £300,000.
The design of the Roadster is expected to mirror the sporty look of the coupe, featuring a custom hood with a carbon insert, carbon rocker panels, and an optional fixed rear spoiler. It will also sport a more aggressive front splitter and rear diffuser with twin central exhausts.
Under the hood, the Roadster will carry the same powertrain as the coupe, a 5.2-liter twin-turbo V12 engine generating 690 hp and 555 lb-ft of torque, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The vehicle is also likely to maintain the stiff chassis setup found in the coupe, which includes retuned anti-roll bars, bushes, and springs.
