Aston Martin has revealed the production version of the Valhalla, a supercar that occupies a unique space between conventional supercars and hypercars, with deliveries anticipated to begin in the middle of next year.
Constructed using a carbon fiber chassis co-developed with Aston Martin’s Formula 1 team and featuring aluminum subframes, the Valhalla is fitted with a significantly modified, AMG-sourced 4.0L twin-turbo flat-plane crank V8 engine that delivers 817 hp. Three electric motors contribute an additional 248 hp, bringing the total output to 1,064 hp and 811 lb-ft of torque. The front axle is powered by two motors, facilitating all-wheel drive and torque vectoring, while the third motor is integrated into the new 8-speed dual-clutch transmission.
The Valhalla can go from 0 to 62 mph in just 2.5 seconds and boasts a maximum speed of 217 mph. Its active aerodynamics can generate 600 kg of downforce between 150 mph and its peak speed. As Aston Martin’s inaugural plug-in hybrid, it offers a 14 km range in electric-only mode, capable of reaching speeds up to 80 mph.
Top Gear magazine has shared a video on YouTube that provides an in-depth analysis of this new limited-edition hypercar.
