Aston Martin Introduces the DBR22 Design Concept

The unveiling of the DBR22 design concept, set to take place during Monterey Car Week in California, represents the continuation of a series of exceptional projects managed by the in-house bespoke division, Q by Aston Martin. This division, which marks its tenth anniversary this year, specializes in crafting unique cars for the most exclusive clientele. Examples of their work include the Aston Martin Victor, Vulcan, limited to 24 units globally, and Vantage V600, limited to just 14 models. In line with these remarkable collaborations, the DBR22 design concept will serve as the foundation for a limited production run available exclusively to select Q by Aston Martin customers.

Aston Martin’s Chief Technical Officer, Roberto Fedeli, emphasized the importance of technology in the construction of the DBR22, highlighting the extensive use of carbon fiber and 3D printing for a structural component. This blend of advanced materials and engineering showcases Aston Martin’s expertise in design, engineering, and production. Fedeli stated that the DBR22 not only represents top-tier bespoke customization but also ensures a thrilling driving experience to complement its breathtaking aesthetics.

Marek Reichman, Chief Creative Officer at Aston Martin, described the design process for the DBR22 as forward-thinking and innovative, aiming to project a futuristic vision in the present day. By leveraging cutting-edge technologies, processes, and materials, the design team has redefined Aston Martin’s racing heritage, giving rise to a new standard of excellence. Reichman characterized the DBR22 as a high-performance Aston Martin sports car embodying speed, agility, and a spirited essence, poised to inspire future automotive icons.
