The engine malfunction occurred with only 621 miles on the odometer. This premature failure would undoubtedly be disappointing for the owner of a new vehicle. The entire incident was captured on camera by YouTuber steelankles.
However, Chevrolet promptly took action to address the problem by replacing the engine with a new one within just two weeks.
While Chevrolet has successfully delivered many vehicles to customers, experiencing an engine failure on a low-mileage car can be disheartening. Fortunately, such failures have been uncommon, and Chevrolet has been proactive in addressing them.
The exact cause of the engine failure has not been disclosed yet, but the owner suspects it may be due to a spun rod bearing.
