Recently, a Ferrari SF90 Stradale was seen at the Lamborghini factory in Sant ‘Agata. Varryx captured the car in action as several engineers took it for a drive.
It’s not uncommon for car manufacturers to test vehicles from their competitors. Lamborghini might be using the SF90 to understand the hybrid system better. The SF90 is known as one of the top hybrid supercars available.
Automakers frequently compare their upcoming models with those of other brands. However, in this scenario, it’s unlikely as Lamborghini doesn’t have a V8 hybrid in their upcoming lineup. Nonetheless, they are developing a V12 hybrid for the successor of the Aventador. This hints at a possibility that the engineers in Sant ‘Agata are interested in the electric motors and battery management system of the SF90.
As we know, the Ferrari SF90 Stradale runs on a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine generating 769 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque. With an additional 217 hp boost from the electric motors, the total power goes up to 986 hp. The Aventador successor is anticipated to feature a new V12 engine along with a hybrid system similar to that of the SF90.
