The Maserati MCXtrema is introduced as the most powerful track car from the Modena-based brand. It is a unique and fearless vehicle designed for dedicated collectors and loyal Maserati customers looking to enhance their collection with a high-performance car specifically built for the thrill of private track tests.
This new creation by the Italian luxury automaker is a result of collaboration between Centro Stile and the Maserati engineering team. It showcases the ambition to create a racing car that can carry forward the legacy of the iconic Maserati MC12 in the realm of competition and inspire future racing models from the Trident brand.
Limited to only 62 units, the MCXtrema is based on the Maserati MC20, particularly the MC20 GT2. It adopts various components from the racing version but achieves a weight reduction of over 250 kg through extensive use of carbon fiber and elimination of non-essential elements, resulting in a total weight of just 1,250 kg.
Under the hood, the MCXtrema is powered by a robust 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 engine with two new turbochargers, producing an impressive 740hp. This remarkable power is transmitted to the rear wheels through a 6-speed sequential manual transmission paired with a mechanical limited-slip differential.
