A video of the incident captures the moment the driver lost control while accelerating out of a corner.
The Ferrari F40 is equipped with a powerful 3.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine generating 471 horsepower and 426 lb-ft of torque, mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.
One key characteristic of the engine is its considerable turbo lag, but once the turbos kick in, the car exhibits substantial power, making it challenging to maneuver, particularly on winding mountain roads.
With only 1300 units ever produced by Ferrari, the F40 is highly sought after by collectors. Hopefully, the damaged car will be restored and back on the road soon.
