Chevy’s electric full-size truck comes in three flavors: the work-focused WT, the off-road-leaning Trail Boss, and this one, built for buyers who want the capability without the theater. Over a week with the keys in March, that restraint held up. The LT is not chasing headlines the way the Trail Boss or a certain angular electric truck from Texas does. The styling will not be for everyone. Base price on this LT Max Range starts at $89,200, and our tester landed at $95,045 with destination and a modest options list. None of the four options checked here feel like waste. All weather floor liners at $250 are cheap insurance in a work truck. The $150 roof sun shade is a smart add anywhere with an Arizona summer, doubly so under a glass roof. That $1,500 panoramic glass roof itself is the one to think twice about. It is a comfort item, not a capability one, and it adds heat load exactly where you do not want it in the desert. The $1,850 RealTruck hard folding bed cover is the priciest single option, but it is also the one doing real work, securing cargo and cleaning up the truck’s aerodynamics in the process. Against an F-150 Lightning or a Sierra EV, the Silverado EV LT holds its own on capability and undercuts most fully loaded electric trucks on price for the equipment you get.
