2024 Toyota Venza Review: Luxury SUV That Feels Like A Lexus

The 2024 Toyota Venza highlights Toyota’s dedication to merging style, efficiency, and innovative technology in a midsize SUV. Its striking exterior features sharp lines and an elegant profile, enhanced by LED headlights and a unique front grille. The vehicle is equipped with a hybrid powertrain that consists of a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine paired with electric motors, producing a total of 219 horsepower and achieving an EPA-estimated 39 mpg combined. This makes it a great option for those who value both performance and fuel efficiency in an SUV.

The interior of the 2024 Venza is both sophisticated and thoughtfully designed, showcasing high-quality materials and a premium atmosphere. The seats are designed for comfort, offering plenty of legroom and headroom for passengers in both the front and back. Additionally, the cabin maintains a serene environment due to extensive soundproofing. Front and center on the dashboard is the optional 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which works flawlessly with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Amazon Alexa. It is user-friendly, while lower trims feature an 8-inch screen for basic functionalities. Besides its intuitive interface, the Venza comes equipped with various conveniences like a wireless charging pad, dual-zone automatic climate control, and multiple USB ports for connectivity.

Toyota has included a comprehensive suite of advanced safety technologies in the Venza. Each trim comes standard with Toyota’s Safety Sense 2.5+ system, which encompasses adaptive cruise control, lane departure alert with steering assist, lane tracing assist, and automatic high beams. Starting from the XLE trim, blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are also included. With its impressive safety features, the Venza offers a reassuring option for families or personal use, ensuring peace of mind with every ride.

One notable highlight in the Limited trim is the Star Gaze panoramic roof, which utilizes electrochromic glass technology to switch between clear and frosted at the touch of a button. This adds an open and airy feel to the cabin while blocking out direct sunlight. The Limited trim further enhances the experience with a premium JBL sound system, ambient lighting, and heated/ventilated front seats, thus offering a luxurious atmosphere that prioritizes comfort and entertainment.

On the road, the Venza delivers a smooth and stable performance. Its hybrid powertrain, along with Toyota’s electronically controlled continuously variable transmission (eCVT), ensures a nearly seamless acceleration experience. While it is not designed as a sporty vehicle, the Venza provides a well-balanced ride with sufficient power for regular day-to-day driving and highway merging. With an all-wheel-drive system that comes standard across all trims, power is distributed to the rear wheels as needed, improving traction on slippery or uneven surfaces.

If you’re considering different trim levels, the 2024 Venza is available in three versions: LE, XLE, and Limited. The LE, starting at around $34,000, comes well-equipped with features like fabric upholstery, an 8-inch touchscreen, a power driver’s seat, and all of Toyota’s Safety Sense technologies. The upgrade to the XLE, priced at approximately $38,000, introduces amenities such as synthetic leather upholstery, a more extensive 12.3-inch touchscreen, heated front seats, and a power liftgate. The top-tier Limited trim, starting at about $42,000, includes luxury enhancements like perforated leather upholstery, ventilated front seats, a panoramic glass roof, and the premium JBL sound system.

In summary, the 2024 Toyota Venza is a standout option for those in search of a stylish and efficient hybrid SUV. With its upscale amenities, advanced safety features, and a quiet, pleasant driving experience, the Venza achieves an ideal blend of practicality and contemporary luxury. Whether used for daily commutes or longer journeys, the Venza offers a refined driving experience along with impressive fuel economy.
