The 2024 Toyota Sequoia enhances its image as a tough and adaptable full-size SUV, merging strength, comfort, and cutting-edge technology. All Sequoia models are fitted with a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 hybrid engine that produces 437 horsepower and 583 lb-ft of torque. This hybrid system strikes a nice balance between performance and fuel efficiency, making the Sequoia suitable for daily use as well as impressive tasks like towing. With a towing capacity of up to 9,520 pounds, it stands out as a leading contender in the full-size SUV arena. The 10-speed automatic transmission ensures a smooth and agile ride whether you’re cruising highways or navigating off-road paths.

A significant advantage of the Sequoia is its roomy interior. It can comfortably seat up to eight people and provides generous legroom and headroom across all three rows. The second row can be configured with either captain’s chairs or a bench seat, allowing for adjustments based on passenger or cargo requirements. The third row features power-folding seats, which can be modified to maximize cargo space when necessary. Storage capacity is impressive, offering up to 86.9 cubic feet when the rear seats are laid flat. The interior design exudes sophistication with soft-touch materials, wood or aluminum accents (depending on the selected trim), and available leather in higher-end models.

Technology is another strength of the Sequoia. It features a standard 14-inch touchscreen, which offers an intuitive interface for Toyota’s latest infotainment system, including wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and integration with Amazon Alexa. A 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster comes standard on all trims, providing customizable displays for essential driver information. Additional features like a panoramic moonroof, head-up display, and a high-quality JBL sound system increase the overall driving experience, especially in premium trims like the Platinum and Capstone.

Toyota has prioritized safety in the 2024 Sequoia. It comes standard with Toyota Safety Sense 2.5, which includes an array of advanced driver-assistance features such as adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning with steering assistance, lane tracing assist, and automatic emergency braking that can detect pedestrians and cyclists. Additional safety options include blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, parking assist sensors, and a surround-view camera system.

The Sequoia is available in five unique trims: SR5, Limited, Platinum, TRD Pro, and Capstone, each designed to appeal to different driver preferences. The SR5 starts around $59,000 and includes the standard hybrid engine, a 12.3-inch digital display, and tri-zone climate control. The Limited is priced at about $66,000 and adds premium features like a power liftgate, heated and ventilated seats, and a larger infotainment system. The Platinum trim, starting at approximately $72,000, further enhances luxury with leather seating, a panoramic sunroof, and a JBL audio system.

For those who desire serious off-road capabilities, the TRD Pro model stands out, starting around $76,000. It comes with all the essential features for outdoor adventures, including specialized FOX shock absorbers, TRD-tuned springs, and a multi-terrain monitor that provides a view of obstacles from various angles using cameras placed around the SUV. It also includes TRD-exclusive skid plates for underbody protection and 18-inch TRD black alloy wheels fitted with all-terrain tires designed for rugged conditions. The exterior sports a blacked-out grille with a bold “TOYOTA” badge, a roof rack, and distinctive TRD badging for a striking appearance. Inside, it features unique TRD touches like red stitching on the seats and steering wheel, a premium sound system, and additional off-road driving modes to optimize performance based on the terrain.

Capping off the lineup is the Capstone trim, which starts around $80,000. It epitomizes luxury with features such as power-retractable running boards, 22-inch chrome wheels, semi-aniline leather seats, and a 10-inch color head-up display. The Capstone caters to those seeking the ultimate luxurious experience without compromising the Sequoia’s inherent power and functionality.

In summary, the 2024 Toyota Sequoia impresses with its potent hybrid engine, roomy and tech-savvy interior, and a diverse selection of trims to accommodate various driver preferences. Whether you need a family-friendly vehicle with luxurious features or a rugged off-roader like the TRD Pro, the Sequoia offers a compelling blend of comfort, capability, and advanced safety.
