The 2024 GLC brings the signature Mercedes-Benz allure to the compact luxury crossover market. Although this is a competitive field, the GLC distinguishes itself with a versatile lineup that includes a robust base model, a high-performance AMG variant, and a sleek coupe version. Following last year’s redesign of the SUV model, the 2024 coupe receives its own updates. This five-passenger vehicle offers a blend of luxury, advanced technology, and impressive drivability.
I spent a week testing the 2024 GLC 300 4 Matic Coupe and this beauty came fully loaded with the AMG Line, Pinnacle Trim, Night Package, Driver Assistance Package and more. This car is really fun to drive and it holds true to the Mercedes-Benz name with handling, performance and luxury. Check out the details of my test week below.
Exterior
The GLC 300 stands out with its sophisticated design, featuring LED headlamps and a sleek body. The AMG Line Package enhances its sporty appeal with 19-inch AMG 5-spoke wheels, AMG body styling, a Chrome Star-pattern grille, and a sport brake system, creating a bold and dynamic presence. My test vehicle came with the optional 20-inch AMG black spoke wheels which looked great on this car. The exterior color is the Cirrus Silver Metallic which looks amazing during the day or evening. Mercedes-Benz brings a lot of curb appeal with the GLC 300.

Interior
The interior of the GLC 300 is what you would expect from Mercedes-Benz but they do continue to up their game. This Coupe exudes luxury with high-quality materials and a good use of space.
The AMG Line interior includes sport front seats, a sport steering wheel, and brushed stainless steel pedals for a performance-oriented feel.
I really like how Mercedes does the tech center display. The 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and an 11.9-inch infotainment touchscreen looks amazing and also has a really good layout. I find ithe MBUX system really easy to use.
The Pinnacle trim adds LED DIGITAL LIGHT headlamps, MBUX Augmented Video for Navigation, a Head-Up Display, and heat and noise-insulating glass for a serene cabin experience. Mercedes is one of the best at reducing outside cabin noise. I test all my vehicles along a really noisy stretch of the 202, most Phoenix drivers can relate to this area as it is difficult to hear anything with the outside road noise. The GLC 300 performed well during the road noise test.
Performance
I am surprised at how much power Mercedes can generate with a 4 cylinder engine. The GLC 300 is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, the GLC 300 delivers 255 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. The mild-hybrid system boosts efficiency and smooths out the start/stop function. Paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission, the GLC 300 offers a responsive drive, accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in about 6.2 seconds, balancing quickness with efficiency.
Driving Experience
The GLC 300 provides a comfortable ride typical of Mercedes-Benz. The suspension absorbs road imperfections well, though larger bumps are felt due to low-profile tires. Light and precise steering makes city driving and highway cruising easy. The 4MATIC all-wheel-drive system ensures good traction and stability in various conditions, enhancing safety and performance.
Safety and Technology
The GLC 300 is packed with safety features, including adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and a surround-view camera. The optional Driving Assistance package adds advanced technologies like evasive steering assist and intersection turn assist. The GLC 300’s Top Safety Pick+ rating from the IIHS highlights its commitment to safety.
Cargo and Practicality
With 21.9 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats, expandable to 56.5 cubic feet, the GLC 300 has a good amount of interior space for its size. The rear seats provide adequate legroom and comfort.
Conclusion
