2024 Hyundai Elantra Hybrid Limited Review

Introduction
The 2024 Hyundai Elantra Hybrid Limited continues to showcase Hyundai’s commitment to fuel efficiency, offering an impressive blend of eco-friendly performance and modern technology. The Elantra offers a stylish design and spacious interior, and in 2024 I see it as a top contender in the compact hybrid sedan market.

Exterior
The Elantra Hybrid Limited has an angular and sleek design, featuring sharp body lines and a bold front grille. It’s nearly indistinguishable from its gas-powered sibling, except for the small hybrid badge at the rear. The 17-inch wheels and modern LED lighting elements further elevate the car’s upscale appearance. Hyundai has managed to make the Elantra feel contemporary and refined, appealing to eco-conscious buyers who don’t want to sacrifice style.

Interior
Inside, the Elantra Hybrid Limited offers a well-designed and comfortable cabin. The seating is spacious, especially in the rear, where legroom rivals even some midsize sedans. This makes it a practical choice for families or long road trips. The Limited trim features leatherette upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats, and a 10.25-inch touchscreen paired with a digital driver display, providing a high-tech feel. The infotainment system is easy to navigate and includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, although the wireless functionality is limited to the smaller screens in lower trims.

Engine and Transmission
Powered by a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine and an electric motor, the Elantra Hybrid Limited produces 139 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque. This power is transmitted through a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, which sets it apart from competitors that use continuously variable transmissions (CVTs). The dual-clutch system provides smoother shifts and a more natural driving feel compared to a CVT. Fuel economy is impressive, with the Limited trim delivering around 50 mpg combined, making it a great option for those prioritizing efficiency without sacrificing daily drivability.

Driver Experience
On the road, the Elantra Hybrid Limited feels smooth and composed. It’s not a performance car, but the hybrid powertrain provides ample torque for city driving and highway merging. The ride is comfortable, absorbing most road imperfections with ease, and the cabin remains quiet, even at higher speeds. Though the car is tuned more for efficiency than sportiness, the tight turning radius and responsive steering make it agile in urban environments. For drivers looking for a bit more engagement, the Elantra also offers a Sport mode, which sharpens throttle response and gives the driving experience a livelier feel.

Safety and Technology
The 2024 Elantra Hybrid Limited comes with a comprehensive suite of safety features, including adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, forward collision warning, and Hyundai’s Highway Driving Assist. These systems work seamlessly together to provide a safe and comfortable driving experience, particularly on long freeway drives. Additionally, the Limited trim includes a premium Bose audio system, further enhancing the overall in-cabin experience. The car’s tech features are user-friendly, though some users might find the occasional Bluetooth connection issues slightly frustrating.

Conclusion
The 2024 Hyundai Elantra Hybrid Limited is a well-rounded, fuel-efficient sedan that excels in both comfort and technology. While it may not be the most exciting car to drive, its spacious interior, excellent fuel economy, and modern features make it an ideal choice for daily commuters or small families looking for a stylish, eco-friendly vehicle. I really like what Hyundai brings to the table with the new Elantra and they pack a lot of value in for the MSRP.
