The 2023 Aston Martin V12 Vantage Roadster was first introduced in 2022. It shares many of its drivetrain and chassis upgrades with the coupe version, featuring a 5.2-liter twin-turbo V-12 from the DBS Superleggera that delivers 690 hp and 555 lb-ft of torque. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels through an eight-speed automatic transaxle and a mechanical limited-slip differential, with a widened track and a revised suspension setup for improved grip. The V12 Vantage Roadster boasts a claimed 0-60 time of 3.5 seconds and a top speed of 200 mph.
The V12 Vantage Roadster features many of the same aero changes as its hardtop counterpart, including revised bumpers and underbody molding. Carbon fiber is used for the bumper, hood, front fenders, and side sills, offering a maximum of 476 pounds of downforce and adequate cooling for the large power plant under the front clamshell.
Both driver and passenger took their places in the cabin on Sports Plus Seats rendered in full semi-aniline leather, featuring the Aston Martin ‘Wings’ as standard on the headrest. Further weight savings could be achieved through the optional performance seat with an exposed carbon fiber shell and manual 6-way adjustment. The hand-laid carbon fiber panel trim on the interior could even be treated to a selection of tinted lacquers, courtesy of Aston Martin’s Q personalization service that also offered exterior graphics and woven leather upholstery.
Aston built just 333 V12 Vantage coupés. The V12 Vantage Roadster was even rarer, with just 249 units made, making it an instant classic. It’s a convertible sports car with a powerful V12 engine.
