The Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series is the pinnacle of performance from Mercedes-AMG, representing the highest level of technology transfer from motorsport to street-legal cars.
Taking inspiration from the GT3 racecar, the AMG GT Black Series offers a driving experience that closely resembles hardcore racing while remaining street-legal. It features upgrades such as a redesigned front fascia with larger intercooler openings compared to the standard AMG GT, an adjustable carbon-fiber front splitter, a two-stage rear wing with an electronically-controlled center flap, and various carbon-fiber components including the hood, roof, rear liftgate, front canards, side-skirt extensions, and front fenders.
Powering the car is a flat-plane twin-turbocharged engine, the most potent AMG V8 power plant to date. It produces 720-hp at 7,200 rpm and an impressive 590 lb-ft of torque from 2,000 rpm to 6,000 rpm.
Weighing around 3,600 lbs, the AMG GT Black Series is not lightweight but still manages to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 3.1 seconds and from 0 to 125 mph in less than 9 seconds, matching the performance of the Huracan Evo RWD. It covers the quarter-mile in 11 seconds at 139 mph and reaches a top speed of 202 mph.
