2021 Lexus RX 350

The 2021 Lexus RX 350 is a good all around mid-size SUV. It has all the traits of other good Lexus vehicles. The cabin is gorgeous and loaded with tech. The ride is smooth and comfortable. The V6 engine has plenty of power and it corners with ease. The overall cargo space is less than the competition but there is a long list of standard and optional infotainment features and active safety tech.

Interior

The interior is full of thoughtful craftsmanship and attention to detail. The ambient LED illumination and comfortable heated and ventilated seats were highlights for me. The design is driver-centric. You will notice the very nice and easy to access 12.3 inch touchscreen multimedia display. There are a lot of app options and Apple Carplay integration, Android Auto, and Amazon Alexa compatibility. Gauges are bright and colorful, and really easy to see and read. One of the cool factors is the Panoramic View Monitor which was really helpful with parking. It has four high resolution cameras that give you a complete view of the nearby environment. You can rest assured Lexus has thought of everything when it comes to the interior. I recommend opting for the phenomenal sound of the Mark Levinson upgraded audio system.

Exterior

Contemporary styling and refinement is  what came to mind when I saw the 3031 Lexus RX 350. I love the powerful and large Lexus grille. The distinct floating roofline and wraparound LED taillamps add to give this Mid-Size SUV a powerful stance. There are some beautiful exterior colors and trims to choose. The sleek design gives the RX a lot of curb appeal.

Engine / Powertrain

With 295 (RX) and 290 horsepower (RXL), this 3.5-liter V6 combines power with fuel efficiency. The RX is equipped with a dual Variable Valve Timing with Intelligence system, power and fuel economy finish with dynamic engine performance. The engine is coupled with an eight-speed automatic Electronically Controlled Transmission (ECT) with paddle shifters which translates into a smooth ride and reliable acceleration response.

Safety

The Lexus Safety System + 2.0 includes the following features:

Forward collision warning (alerts you of a possible collision with the car in front).

Automatic emergency braking (warns if a front impact is imminent and applies the brakes if you don’t respond in time)

Adaptive cruise control (adjusts speed to maintain a constant distance between the vehicle and the car in front)

Lane departure warning (alerts you if the vehicle begins to drift out of its lane)

Lane keeping assist (steers the RX 350 back into its lane if it begins to drift over the lane marker)

Blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert (warns you if a vehicle is in your blind spot during a lane change or while reversing)

Conclusion

Lexus gives you a lot of features and luxury for your money in the 2021 RX 350. Reliability, safety and a luxurious cabin filled with technology along with a very reasonable MSRP make this a definite consideration for anyone looking at Mid-size SUV’s. There are several trims and extra options to consider and see what version is right for you. The 2021 Lexus RX 350 starts at an MSRP of $45,220.
