Hyundai Veloster N Review

This week I test drove the 2021 Hyundai Veloster N, and what a drive with the combination of performance and overall excellence. Even with the strong competition of other popular models, this one stands out in many different categories, like the handling and a competitive price.

The overall drive performance of the Veloster N is an experience you want to repeat and keep on talking about long after. The overall handling, even in tight corners, makes it feel like a racing car with very little body roll.

The exterior of the 2021 Hyundai Veloster N displays well in different colors, especially the baby blue and racing red. It also has a quirky look with two doors on one side and just one door on the other side.

  • The nice colors it is available in over the black trim provide a nice contrast and a unique overall look
  • Well-placed headlights provide a unique impression and improve the overall style of the Veloster N
  • 19 Inch wheels with Pirelli summer tires provide the Veloster a nice solid stance
  • With an overall stretch-out look, it displays quite nicely in all the available colors
  • The fenders show more purpose and display nicely along with the long hood
  • A large black grill at the front rounds off the overall aesthetic looks of this vehicle
  • You have prominent tail lights that display night and day nicely
  • The two exhaust tips sticking out at the back give it a nice sporty look
  • A fun rear spoiler is added to accentuate the hatch just a little bit
  • The overall design is a bit more laid back but with some interesting looks
  • With an overall hatch look, this one comes with the lines in the right places to be an eye-catcher

The 2021 Hyundai Veloster N’s interior is always quite roomy, with enough free space from the front seats. It has an overall airy feel with the wide windows that provides a nice and clear viewing option to the outside.

  • It comes with the new front seats, which are a bit thinner and a lightweight design
  • Both front seats are upholstered with a nice leather and fabric combo to provide better comfort
  • The nice N logos in the backtest is a great variation on standard seats
  • Integrated headrests for the seats and reinforced side bolsters give you a nice comfortable seating option
  • You also have decent lumbar support with the front seats to further increase the overall comfort factor
  • With a lot of space for the driver and passenger, it is quite roomy
  • With a redesigned infotainment system, it displays much nicer and comes with HD radio added
  • A standard 8-speaker infinity system sounds very good
  • An all-black interior across all trims makes it display nicely with a cozy feeling
  • Large cargo space with 60/40 split-folding rear seats provides a lot of storage space
  • Nice interior shades give you that extra feel of comfort and coziness

The 2021 Hyundai Veloster N has a nifty 2.0L four-cylinder engine with double overhead cam and 275 HP output at 6000rpm. It is a front-wheel-drive with an 8-speed automated manual gearbox and a 4-wheel independent suspension.

The Veloster N has a fuel economy of 22 combined mpg.

Special Options/Package

The 2021 Hyundai Veloster N is available in many trims, and the performance package pushes the price to around $2,500. You can also add the new DCT updates, pushing the price even more.

You can also upgrade the seats to all leather ultimate turbo trim.

The 2021 Hyundai Veloster N has all the standard safety features to make it safe to drive. These features include your standard side-mounted airbags, front, and rear head airbags, and the following.
