For the time being, we turn our interest to a Ferrari FX owned by the deeply-pocketed Sultan of Brunei. Like all his cars ordered specially, this one underwent a series of alterations, so much so that the original form version was hardly recognizable.
Using a 4.9-liter flat-twelve engine that delivered 440 HP, the Ferrari FX was curved from the Ferrari Testarossa. It was mated to a 7-speed sequential transmission from the Williams Formula One team.
The body panels were fabricated from aluminum as well as carbon fiber in some cases including the hood, doors and wheel wells. To accommodate the new version of the rear end, a new exhaust was installed, further signaling a possible upgrade to the engine as well.
For the record, only nine cars were ever made, and six of there were sent straight to the Royal Family in Brunei.
In its sheer extravagance, the Royal Family of Brunei has given the world one of the largest collections of luxurious cars. It is so bespoke that you would take quite some good time to figure it all out.
