We are living in very exciting times as far as the auto industry is concerned. With each passing day, we see more intriguing ideas of what future cars might look like. In some cases, the future is here already.

The 2020 Hyundai Sonata has something telling about it. Say whatever you may but the Sonata is a hit that the Korean manufacturer must be very proud of and about. The striking design compliments the sedan’s look making it easy to fall for.

In addition to all these substantive improvements, this Sonata takes wears a solar roof that powers the battery pack on the move. What a good story that one should be for motorists?

Whereas the solar roof is the most distinguishing factor of the Sonata, it still wears more special elements such as the Active Shift Control(ASC). As the manufacturer explains, the role of the ASC is to “apply new control logic software” to the hybrid control unit.

What all this means in a simpler language is that there is now in place a system that reduces gear shift times, hence improving performance while boosting fuel economy significantly. The hybrid Sonata uses a four-cylinder combustion engine that consumes 2.0-liters.

This one will give you 150 horsepower (112 kW) and 188 Newton-meters (139 pound-feet) of torque. An additional 51 p (38 kW) comes from the electric motor so that when you combine both systems you get 192 hp. This is mated to a six-speed hybrid automatic transmission that channels power to all four wheels.

The Korean manufacturer is attempting to break through the ceiling and hand car lovers outstanding sedans that are useful and practical on a daily basis, it seems there is more hidden in their sleeves and so much more is right ahead.
