The Mark Zero By Piëch Automotive Achieves 80% Charge In Under 5 Minutes

Piëch Automotive, an electric vehicle startup, revealed the Mark Zero at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show with an impressive feature – a new battery that purportedly charges up to 80% in less than five minutes.

This claim not only sounds promising but also signifies a potential revolution in EV battery technology, showcasing advancements in the field.

The company also disclosed that its innovative cooling system has enabled a reduction in weight by over 200 kilograms (441 pounds), a significant achievement in the quest for lightweight design and efficient aerodynamics. The overall weight of the car now stands at 1,800 kilograms (4,000 pounds), which is relatively heavy compared to industry standards.

Piëch further disclosed that the Mark Zero will be equipped with three electric motors, with one positioned on the front-axle generating approximately 150 kW, while the other two, each providing 150 kW, will be placed on the rear axle.

The emergence of pioneering concepts from various startups is truly inspiring and points towards a promising future in automotive engineering, shaping the landscape of EVs in the upcoming decade.
