Infiniti has a distinct approach when it comes to designing its car models. Despite not having a long history or established designs to draw inspiration from, the brand aims to astonish with unique and innovative designs that stand out without relying on vintage styles from the 1930s.
A prime example is the unveiling of the Prototype 9 single-seat racer at Pebble Beach in 2017. Fast forward to the Prototype 10, and you’re greeted with a design that is meticulously crafted to challenge the norms of its segment.
The Prototype 10 is part of Infiniti’s commitment to electrifying its entire lineup by 2021 and beyond, providing a glimpse into how the brand’s future cars may be reimagined in the age of electrification.
This convertible single-seater boasts a striking exterior design that exudes sophistication. The Infiniti logo is prominently displayed on the side, while the front fascia features sleek slit-like headlights that contribute to the clean and minimalistic look, with the Infiniti badge serving as the main adornment.
A black chin spoiler with a flat underbody enhances aerodynamics, complemented by wide air intakes on the body sides that help cool the rear-mounted electric motor and battery pack.
While Infiniti may not be focusing on single-seaters currently, the Prototype 10 offers a tantalizing glimpse into the brand’s potential future direction. It showcases a well-thought-out strategy to shake up the conventional norms in the automotive industry.
