Winkelmann confirmed that the next-gen Urus would be an all-electric SUV. This means the upcoming Urus Hybrid will be the last iteration of Lamborghini’s flagship SUV to use the twin-turbo V8 engine.
The Urus PHEV will arrive next year and is expected to be powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 paired with an electric motor offering a combined output of around 820 hp. The Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid uses the same powertrain, albeit in a lower tune.
Lamborghini also announced the replacement for the Huracan. The Huracan successor is expected to be powered by a twin-turbo V8 hybrid. It will debut in 2024.
