If you find it challenging to classify the Renault Captur as a traditional hatchback or an SUV, you are not alone. This versatile vehicle effortlessly combines characteristics of both, making it a unique and practical choice.

The Renault Captur is designed to excel in functionality and efficiency. Drawing inspiration from the Renault Clio, this car is well-equipped and knowledgeable about its class, offering a blend of style and performance.

Catering to a diverse audience, the Captur offers several engine options. You can opt for the 0.9-liter engine producing 89bhp, capable of accelerating from 0 to 62mph in 13.1 seconds. A newer 1.3-liter engine introduced in 2019 provides 128bhp or 148bhp for more power.

For those preferring diesel, there’s a 1.5-liter engine delivering 89bhp, paired with an automatic gearbox for added convenience.

Renault revamped the trim options in 2018, simplifying them to four categories: GT (premium), Play, Iconic, and S Edition. The Play trim features two-tone paintwork, 16-inch alloy wheels, the R&GO smartphone app, and DAB radio, catering to modern preferences.

Competing in a crowded segment, the Renault Captur stands out with its fuel efficiency and competitive pricing. Despite its robust appearance, it excels as an urban vehicle rather than a rugged off-roader.
