Porsche is well in line as far as vehicle electrification is concerned. It may not be doing as fine as some full-blown EV manufacturers but it is equally promising with some gracious production cars heading our way.
The Porsche Mission E Cross Turismo is expected to be a kind of Porsche’s show-off car in the EV class. It is not surprising then that this car aims right into Tesla’s market.
As it prepares to bring it over in 2020, the Mission E project aims at placing Porsche firmly on the map to electrification. This is, sporty, battery-powered vehicle, built not only to feel gracious but also to extend a luxurious and complex feel.
Fitted with a 90kWh lithium-ion battery that drives two electric motors, this car is made to drive on all four wheels. The motors are placed each on each axle. and power output is in the range of 592bhp. The company promises 310 miles, while the proper acceleration is solidly guaranteed.
For electric car builders, there is no time to slack as the competition out there is not relenting. With the Mission E, Porsche hopes to make a statement and impress a huge fan base for its upcoming projects.
One of the beautiful things about this car is that the car maintains the characteristic Porsche sloping back. This will certainly be more of a statement car for both the automaker and those who will own the car.
