With the launch of the 992 model, the Porsche 911 is now in its eighth generation. This puts it in an elite group that includes cars like the Ford Mustang.

Its standout feature includes its practicality. Over the years, it has evolved in size and incorporated technology that makes its price tag worthwhile.

Undoubtedly, the new Porsche has become more refined and improved in terms of performance. The use of aluminum has increased while the iron content has significantly reduced from 66 to just 30 percent.

Equipped with an eight-speed PDK twin-clutch transmission, replacing the seven-speed unit, it is powered by a 3.0-liter twin-turbo flat-six engine with upgraded turbochargers and revised air intakes.

The standard engine in the 992 model produces 444 bhp, a 30 bhp boost from the 991 Carrera S. It clocked a lap time of 7:25 seconds at the Nurburgring Nordschleife circuit.

While it comes with a hefty price tag starting at $113,000 without any optional extras, Porsche stands firm on the cost of additional features.

However, buyers can expect exceptional handling finesse and highly responsive technology in this vehicle. The car has elevated itself by redefining key elements, including the powertrain.
