Brabus, known for its luxury expertise and modification of Mercedes vehicles, has now ventured into the electric SUV realm with their customization of the Mercedes-Benz EQC.
The original EQC model comes equipped with twin electric motors providing 560 lb-ft torque and 402 horsepower. However, Brabus has introduced the E-PowerXtra performance upgrade, boosting the power output to 612 lb-ft of torque and 422 horsepower, allowing for enhanced sports performance with a 0 to 62 mph acceleration in just 4.9 seconds. The maximum speed is capped at 112 mph, with additional power accessible in Sport mode.
By engaging the “E” drive mode with the Brabus PowerXtra Electric enhancement, drivers can experience one-pedal driving, a feature often desired by electric vehicle enthusiasts. This technology enables the SUV to decelerate more aggressively when the accelerator pedal is released, minimizing the need for frequent brake application and improving the kinetic energy recovery rate from coasting.
Brabus is not only focusing on performance but also on aesthetics, developing an aerodynamic body kit for the EQC, which currently includes a rear spoiler element. Additionally, they are offering exclusive 21-inch Monoblock Z “Platinum Edition” wheels crafted with advanced forging technology.
Customization options extend to the interior as well, with offerings such as aluminum door-lock pins, pedals, and illuminated scuff plates featuring the adjustable color backlight Brabus logo. More bespoke features are in development, with the base EQC model priced starting at $75,000.
