Just under a year following the debut of the road-legal model, McLaren introduced the Senna GTR, which elevates the exceptional McLaren Senna to new heights in performance. Free from constraints of road or track regulations, this addition to the Ultimate Series pushes boundaries by reducing weight and creating over 1,000kg of aerodynamic downforce. It adopts the suspension system from McLaren’s GT3 race program, ensuring top-tier handling on the track.
The Senna GTR is powered by a potent twin-turbocharged V8 engine, tuned to deliver up to 825hp and 800Nm of torque, transferred to the rear wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch race transmission. With this power, the Senna GTR can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in under 2.8 seconds and 0 to 124 mph in under 6.8 seconds.
Notably, this car is a tribute to the legendary Brazilian F1 World Champion, Ayrton Senna, who won 35 Grand Prix races with McLaren and helped the team secure four Constructors’ Championship titles.
The 2019 McLaren Senna GTR displayed here by Collecting Cars is presented in special Silica White, showcasing carbon-fiber aerodynamic components with a glossy finish. Orange accent lines on the front canards, side skirts, and rear diffuser strakes pay homage to Bruce McLaren’s distinctive racing color.
