Mr JWW got a chance to ride along in one such AMR Pro with Nico Hulkenberg at the wheel. The track-only hypercar did a few blistering laps of the Silverstone National circuit, giving James a proper demonstration of the capabilities of this insane machine.
The Valkyrie AMR Pro is like a Le Mans prototype turned up to eleven. The 6.5-liter, naturally aspirated V12 engine revs to 11,000 rpm and produces north of 1000 hp. It is further aided with tonnes of downforce produced by the F1-style front splitter and diffuser, as well as the massive rear wing.
Here, you have an immensely powerful engine propelling a lightweight hypercar. Put an F1 driver at the wheel and the results are astounding. The AMR Pro lapped the short loop in 47.41 seconds. You can see the downforce working as Nico throws the car around Copse at over 200 km/h.
