The Mini John Cooper Works (JCW) GP is positioned as the highest-performing model in Mini’s range and is set to hit the market with a starting price of $44,900 plus $850 for delivery.
This distinctive car comes equipped with an upgraded turbocharged 4-cylinder engine generating 306 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque, which is sent to the front wheels. It comes with a new 8-speed Steptronic automatic transmission that is specifically linked to a mechanical differential lock to reduce torque steer.
In addition to its aggressive appearance, the Mini Cooper features widened fenders, striking rear fascias, and a stylish roof spoiler to enhance downforce and cooling. These design elements set it apart from the standard JCW model. The reinforced wheel arches prove useful as the GP now boasts a lowered stance and a wider track due to the stiffened suspension. Further enhancements have been made to the chassis, engine bay, and suspension for optimal performance.
Being a special model, the GP is marked with unique badging both on the exterior and interior. It offers enhanced sound insulation and is designed with only two seats. The car is fitted with special 18-inch wheels that weigh 20 pounds each and can be customized in various colors according to your preference.
