Koenigsegg is commemorating 20 years since the launch of their very first production hypercar, the CC8S. In 2022, founder Christian von Koenigsegg also reached the milestone of turning 50. To mark these two significant occasions, the company has unveiled a new model called the Koenigsegg CC850.
The newly introduced model draws heavy inspiration from the iconic CC8S, which initially propelled the brand onto the global platform. It presents a contemporary reinterpretation of the original design, resulting in a truly remarkable appearance.
The CC850 features a lower stance compared to the Jesko and boasts a classic rounded aesthetic. The front end showcases triple LED headlights, while the rear is adorned with triple LEDs reminiscent of the original design. Maintaining the essence of the vehicle that started it all, signature vents on the sides and roofline, as well as the wheels, pay homage to its predecessor.
Stepping inside the CC850 reveals a unique interior. It is equipped with a 3-pod instrument cluster sporting retro dials and a central touchscreen. A standout feature within the interior is the H-pattern shifter, featuring a “manualized Lightspeed transmission” and a clutch pedal.
At the core of this new limited edition hypercar lies a 5.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, delivering 1185 hp on standard pump gas and 1385 hp on E85 fuel. With peak torque of 1020 lb-ft at 4800 rpm and weighing 1385 kg, the CC850 achieves an impressive power-to-weight ratio of 1:1.
Limited to just 50 units, the Koenigsegg CC850 is priced at approximately €3.5 million.
