The Acura TLX isn’t known for its luxury appeal but excels in overall performance and usability. It boasts various desirable features like rear-wheel steering and an all-wheel-drive system that greatly enhance its handling capabilities.
While the interior might not be jaw-dropping, it offers comfortable seating and premium materials. Although not the pinnacle of sportiness, the TLX proves to be a competent and worthy sedan.
Acura’s 2020 updates on the TLX introduce some new paint options including Canyon Bronze Metallic, Majestic Black Pearl, Performance Red Pearl, and Apex Blue Pearl. The Apex Blue Pearl is exclusive to the A-Spec versions, particularly the limited TLX PMC Edition, of which only 360 units will be produced at a price of $50,945.
The standard engine produces 206 horsepower and pairs well with an eight-speed automatic transmission. While this engine is only available in front-wheel drive, it can be combined with a rear-wheel-steering system for enhanced cornering capabilities.
Additionally, there is a V-6 option generating 290 horsepower mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission. Essentially, the Acura TLX is a practical daily driver that has been optimized for improved handling without being overly aggressive.
