Car enthusiasts familiar with sports cars are well aware of Naples-based brand Puritalia, known for its expertise in this field. Among its notable creations is the Puritalia 427 unveiled in 2012, drawing inspiration from the iconic 427 Shelby Cobra.
However, it was the 2019 Geneva Motor Show where Puritalia stole the limelight by introducing their latest masterpiece, the Berlinetta, a 965 bhp high-performance car. The Berlinetta boasts a V8 petrol engine coupled with a rear-mounted electric motor, combining their power to achieve the remarkable 965 bhp output as claimed by the company.
Enhanced by a hybrid system controlled by AI software, the Berlinetta can access real-time data on traffic, weather, and road conditions. Drivers can select from three distinct driving modes – Sport, Corsa, and e-Power for a personalized driving experience.
Choosing Corsa mode unleashes thrilling exhaust sounds, complemented by the eMozione switch that boosts the electric motor’s torque to 273 lb-ft.
The market for hand-crafted hybrid and electric sports cars is expanding, with Italy at the forefront of innovative small firms crafting unique vehicles. The exclusive production of only 150 units of the Berlinetta promises a truly distinctive driving experience for fortunate owners.
