Learn About the 2024 Lamborghini Revuelto

Depending on who you ask, the new Lamborghini Revuelto might have met or exceeded expectations for the Italian automaker. Two key reasons for this. First, it retains the iconic V12 internal combustion engine. Secondly, it’s a plug-in hybrid.

Like many high-end car manufacturers today, Lamborghini has had to balance preserving its heritage while adapting to the shift towards electrification. The Revuelto sets the pace, pleasing both enthusiasts and regulators with one innovative vehicle.

Stay true to its brand, the Revuelto is named after a spirited Catalonian fighting bull from the late 19th century—a classic nod to Lamborghini’s heritage.

Continuing the Legacy

The Lamborghini Revuelto stands out as a remarkable technological marvel. Spiritually, it faces a more complex path as it replaces the beloved Aventador model.

Given the Aventador’s role in revitalizing Lamborghini’s appeal, the Revuelto faces high expectations with much riding on its broad and angular shoulders.

Early indications suggest that the Revuelto is a worthy successor, with orders already filled for two years and beyond.

Redefining “PHEV”

While “Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles” is the typical interpretation of “PHEV,” Lamborghini introduces its own take—High Performance Electrified Vehicle (HPEV). This unique approach emphasizes the V12 engine as the heart of the vehicle, with electric components enhancing rather than diminishing its performance.

The Revuelto boasts a 30% increase in performance, a corresponding decrease in emissions, and a reaffirmation of Lamborghini’s essence. The term HPEV encapsulates this philosophy effectively.

Power & Drive System

The Revuelto features a traditional 6.5L naturally-aspirated V12 engine, producing a remarkable 814 hp and 535 lb-ft of torque—the most potent V12 from Lamborghini to date.

Incorporating Italian engineering, the new power unit is lighter and accommodates an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission at the rear for enhanced performance. Advanced torque-vectoring technology ensures optimal power distribution.

With three electric motors in total—two driving the front wheels and one supporting the rear—the Revuelto’s total power output reaches 1,001 hp. This setup propels the all-wheel-drive supercar from 0-62 mph in just 2.5 seconds, reaching a top speed of 217 mph.

The vehicle offers an electric-only range of 6 miles, rechargeable in 30 minutes via a 7 kW outlet, and is poised for more hybrid and fully-electric Lamborghinis in the future.

Performance & Chassis

Equipped with the latest LDVI system, the Revuelto utilizes an active aerodynamics setup for optimal downforce and efficiency, outperforming its predecessor.

Featuring a stiffer chassis, enhanced suspension, and revamped carbon ceramic brakes, the Revuelto guarantees exceptional handling and performance. It offers a range of 13 drive modes, catering to various driving scenarios from silent city cruising to high-performance racing.

Design & Interior

Retaining Lamborghini’s iconic angular design, the Revuelto stands out with a slightly elongated wheelbase and a more athletic stance, coupled with a meticulously crafted interior.

Designed with both aesthetics and functionality in mind, the cockpit boasts a blend of digital interfaces and analog controls for a seamless driving experience.

Pricing & Future

Though pricing details are scarce, the Revuelto is expected to exceed the Aventador in cost, starting around $700,000 USD. Anticipate future variants like Roadster and SV models to expand the lineup.
