Back in 2016 at the Performance Racing Industry event, Ford introduced the striking and powerful Mustang FP350S. This track-only car was engineered for high-speed, thrilling performances in events like Trans Am, NASA, and SCCA races.
Under the hood lies a potent 5.2-liter V8 engine developed by Ford Performance Parts, mated to a Tremec 3160 manual transmission for seamless power delivery.
The car’s suspension is purpose-built for racing, complemented by an electric power steering system. It rolls on 19-by-10.5-inch front and 19-by-11-inch rear wheels to enhance stability and control on the track.
Not forgetting the aerodynamics, the Ford Performance splitter and adjustable carbon-fiber rear wing were meticulously designed to improve airflow and overall performance.
When unveiling this racing marvel, Dave Pericak, the global director of Ford Performance, emphasized, “Our aim is to provide racers with the equipment they need to compete and succeed on the track.”
This exceptional sports car not only aims to dominate on the racing circuit but also leaves a lasting impression with its attractive design and engineering prowess. Cars like the Mustang FP350S make you wonder why more of these incredible creations aren’t produced.
